Additionally, you will have access to the archives of the 18 webcasts and the 15 videos until July 3. View them as many times as you like!

80 Live Webcasts - These are shorter, more interactive versions of the "live" sessions that take place in Washington DC. At any time during the Virtual Conference, you will have up to three simultaneous sessions to choose from.

15 Videos - These are General Sessions, Showcase Speakers, and other selected sessions made available for virtual attendees to view right after they happen.

Virtual Conference Orientation - At the beginning of the Virtual Conference, join host Anthony Allen (Director of Digital Media for ASTD) in a Conference Orientation and Virtual Attendee Networking Event.

Networking Sessions - At the end of each conference day, join Virtual Conference attendees in a networking event, on a conference call, or in Second Life.

How will I access the Virtual Conference?

To purchase the Virtual Conference, click here. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions to log-in to your “My Profile” page on ASTD’s website to download an exclusive PDF document with log-in URLs for all Virtual Conference events. Your instructions will appear as follows:

“Below, you will find a list of the items you purchased with us today. If you have purchased any PDF downloads please visit My Downloads at http://store.astd.org to retrieve your product. To access My Downloads, you must select My Profile from the Customer Service dropdown menu on this page. In order to view your profile, you must first sign in to ASTD's website.”

Will my computer work for the Virtual Conference?

Before purchasing the Virtual Conference, please test your computer(s) for WebEx compatibility by clicking this link and following the instructions. Please also test your computer for video compatibility by clicking this link. If you cannot see the video, please view this troubleshooting guide. You must run these tests on every computer that you will use to access the conference (i.e. both your work and home computer).

How long is the Virtual Conference?

The Virtual Conference schedule is similar to the "live" conference. All times Eastern.
Sunday 10AM-6:30PM, networking session 7-8PM
Monday & Tuesday 7:30AM-6:30PM, networking session 7-8PM
Wednesday 7:30AM-4:30PM, networking session 5-6PM

What happens during the Virtual Conference?

At any point during the Virtual Conference, you can watch a video, participate in a live webcast (there are up to three to choose from at any time), or network with other attendees in an exclusive LinkedIn group. There will also be special "LIVE from the EXPO" sessions where you will be able to meet with vendors.

Will the Virtual Conference be archived?

Yes! Videos and WebEx sessions will be archived and available for repeated viewings as many times as you like for thirty days after the conference. Attendees to the "live" conference in DC will be able to access these sessions between June 5 and July 5.

How do I attend the virtual conference?

First, you need to purchase Virtual Conference access. Then, you will get a confirmation email with access to a special web page just for Virtual Conference attendees. This is the Virtual Conference Homepage -- you'll be visiting it often as you fill out your profile for online networking with other attendees, access the URLs for the WebEx sessions, and find out the latest news for the Virtual Conference. The Virtual Conference Homepage will be your home base leading up to and during the Virtual Conference!

What if I'm already attending the conference?

Great, we're excited to see you! As a compliment to your conference registration, you will have free access to these Virtual Conference sessions between June 5 and July 5, 2009.
